Default For God's sake, FIX THIS BUG!

I cannot tell you how annoying it is to be fighting someone in PvP and suddenly "trip and stop" on say, a rock, or tree, or anything else I just happen to TOUCH! This is especially annoying when I am using my warrior and chasing down an almost dead target and, oops, my buddies pet got in my way, guess Ill just STOP! WTF! I am to the point now where i just continually hammer on my space bar because of this bug. WHY CAN'T MY TOON SIMPLY STEP AROUND an object instead of coming to a COMPLETE STOP???? even while sprinting, if I touch another object, i simply stop running after my target. FIX THIS PLEASE!

Stop being lazy, use your WASD keys to walk around it yourself instead of C+spacebar :P

The irritating part about all this is you totally have to start reattacking them, like you totally lost the target or something.

/signed. Dont know how many times I've been chasing something, and then just stop and have to tap spacebar again.

It's not like it's hard and you should have to manually move around things that get in your way...

Another recent thread about this too which I think is better because it has screenshots. Might be a good idea to keep it bumped too so that if the devs don't see this thread, they'll at least see the one with screenshots eventually.

LOL when we multigame at a friends house ( 3-5 of us ) it cracks me up that every once in a while one of the guys starts _icthing, becuase of this in game.

This makes for advanced bodyblocking and setting picks in PvP, and has created tactics for people to learn and master. Basically, use your WASD and strafing instead of mashing spacebar. Watch for obstacles that you can avoid ahead of time and cut the best path to your target instead of tapping spacebar and grabbing your drink.

This doesn't bother me nearly as much as say falling through some stairs or a bridge and then getting stuck! now that ticks me off since the quest/mission is over for me. This imo is a much bigger issue. The body blocks you can work around the pitsfalls you can't.

But fixing this will remove the whole body-blocking thing.So if you fix it monsters can go around people too , so no more corner blocking or body blocking! /antisign for me as I'm a tank.

Body blocking is allright. I think the complain is not about body blocking, the complain is about the feeling of getting stucked that may be related to bodyblocking or to being blocked by enviroment objects; which sometimes also has the effect of making the character jump backwards once and again.

Casters classes have another problem of getting stucked. If a caster casts a spell whilst running, then for the character to be able to follow moving the player has to release the key and press it again... I think that this is not quite fair, since a melee and a ranger chashing her needs only to press one key to do do both run and attack, kitting is by far a way more difficult than chasing as the kitting player has to choose the way keeping attention on the terrain, and hit or use the mouse intensively to change direction or retake movement -as explained-, whilst the chasing player just may be sitting hitting a single key not even looking at the screen were not for the accident of being blocked.

All of you tanks talking about bodyblocking are missing the point. The post is about hitting a ROCK or something and coming to a dead stop, when your character should just step around it. Also, you should be able to step around a pet because pets aren't really supposed to block.

One thing I think you forgot to mention is the Follow function. When you start Following someone, when you touch them, you stop following them. It is incredibly irritating having to keep Ctrl+double clicking who you want to follow...it kind of defeats the purpose.

You should come to a dead stop when you hit a player in PvP, but elsewhere in the game? Hm, I don't think so.
